IWC Pilot’s Watch Chronograph 41 AMG and Mercedes-AMG PETRONAS Formula One Team | Unveiling Racing-Inspired Pilot’s Watches

IWC, renowned for its longstanding partnership with Mercedes-AMG, has taken its commitment to the next level with the release of the IWC Pilot’s Watch Performance Chronograph 41 series for 2023. Specifically dedicated to its automotive collaborations, the IWC Pilot’s Watch Performance Chronograph 41 AMG and the IWC Pilot’s Watch Performance Chronograph 41 Mercedes-AMG PETRONAS Formula One Team watches bring a motorsport-inspired twist to the classic pilot’s watch design.

The IWC Pilot’s Watch Performance Chronograph 41 AMG boasts a grade 5 titanium case in a sleek black-and-white color profile. It features brushed surfaces and thin high-polished bevels, a black ceramic bezel with a tachymeter scale, a black dial following the brand’s iconic design, larger applied Arabic numeral hour markers, and water resistance up to 100 meters. The watch offers versatility with options for black rubber straps or matching H-link bracelets crafted from grade 5 titanium.

On the other hand, the IWC Pilot’s Watch Performance Chronograph 41 Mercedes-AMG PETRONAS Formula One Team edition elevates the racing experience with a case made from the brand’s proprietary Ceratanium alloy, and bright turquoise accents on the minute track, running seconds hand, and calendar displays inspired by the F1 team’s signature color.

Both models are powered by the robust self-winding IWC-manufactured Caliber 69385, an automatic chronograph movement with a column wheel mechanism, 33 jewels, 231 parts, 28,800vph frequency, and a power reserve of approximately 46 hours. The incorporation of a tachymeter scale bezel aligns these watches with the functionality expected from racing chronographs.

The IWC Pilot’s Watch Performance Chronograph 41 AMG retails for $9,800 on a strap and $11,700 on a matching titanium bracelet. Meanwhile, the IWC Pilot’s Watch Performance Chronograph 41 Mercedes-AMG PETRONAS Formula One Team edition comes with a higher price tag at $13,700 for a rubber strap and $19,900 for the version with a full Ceratanium bracelet.
