Jaeger-LeCoultre Reverso Tribute Enamel Hokusai Delivers Two New Limited Edition Models
In a celebration of the fusion between the artistry of watchmaking and the timeless creations of renowned Japanese artist Hokusai, Jaeger-LeCoultre proudly presents two limited-edition Reverso Tribute Enamel Hokusai timepieces. The latest addition to the Reverso Tribute series, these timepieces encapsulate the essence of Hokusai’s ‘Waterfalls’ series, immortalizing the renowned master’s iconic works through the meticulous art of enamel painting and guillochage.
Immersed in the skilled hands of the Métiers Rares™ (Rare Handcrafts) atelier, each timepiece captures the essence of Hokusai’s renowned ‘Waterfall at Ono on the Kisokaido Road’ and ‘Waterfall Where Yoshitsune Washed his Horse at Yoshino in Yamato Province.’ The miniature paintings on the case backs were meticulously crafted using the revered Geneva technique, demanding over 80 hours of precision work. The result is a portrayal of Hokusai’s original colors and intricate details, perfectly scaled down to one-tenth of the original masterpiece.
The Jaeger-LeCoultre Reverso Tribute Enamel Hokusai ‘Waterfall at Ono on the Kisokaido Road’ watch features a Barleycorn guilloche dial pattern, while the ‘Waterfall Where Yoshitsune Washed his Horse at Yoshino in Yamato Province’ Watch displays an 800-line guilloché lozenge pattern, adorned with translucent Grand Feu enamel in a rich green hue, and crafted with an ancient lathe. Both feature a white gold rectangular case, reversible case with closed caseback, faceted appliqué hour-markers, Dauphine hands, and up to 30 meters of water resistance. Both come with black alligator straps.
Powering both new entries in the Reverso Tribute line is the Jaeger-LeCoultre Caliber 822/2. The manual winding movement measures 2.94mm thick, beats at 21,600vph, has 108 components, and a 42-hour power reserve.
