Inside Look | 3x1 Denim

We recently had the opportunity to visit 3×1, a fairly new shop denim brand and the third venture of designer Scott Morrison following Paper Denim & Cloth and Earnest Sewn based in New York. Being the denim fanatic that I am, Scott’s past work (especially Earnest Sewn) really had me excited to see what 3×1 was offering up. There’s only one location and it’s on Mercer St. in SoHo. The shop houses a 4,000 sq. ft. retail and gallery space, an entire manufacturing facility as well as their 3,200 sq. ft. design studio. Each pair of 3×1 jeans is created on site and tailored for the customer as Limited Edition, Custom Made or Bespoke. Yep, bespoke denim.

The Read | Bespoke: The Men's Style of Savile Row

Bespoke: The Men’s Style of Savile Row, was released by Rizzoli last week and it’s basically a fully illustrated history of bespoke tailoring, starting right where it all began — London’s Savile Row. The street’s renowned for fine custom tailoring which has been worn by the likes of Winston Churchill, Russell Crowe, David Beckham and countless other prominent figures.

Bespoke charts Savile Row’s contribution to fashion and culture chronologically and features twenty-six profiles of today’s master tailors from historic firms such as Gieves & Hawkes and Henry Poole to more recent ones like Nutters and Ozwald Boateng, who was the first Savile Row tailor to stage a catwalk show in Paris.

BoutiqueCycles.com is a user submitted gallery dedicated to custom and boutique bikes. Two bike enthusiasts from Sydney, Australia had this bright idea and we are loving some of the submissions. Editors’ Choice awards are given to the best bikes submitted in their category, bringing some excitement to the realm.

The fixed gear bicycle pictured above is an Affinity Masterpiece and happens to be this month’s Editors’ Choice. There’s been much work put into the customization of this beauty, leaving us yearning for more goodness.

Check out Boutique Cycles for more great bikes.
