Ferrari 812 GTS Is A V12-Powered Convertible That Gets To 124 MPH in Just 8.3 Seconds

The Italian automaker’s latest creation comes in the form of the Ferrari 812 GTS, a convertible monster that looks to be based off the 812 Superfast.

My entire life, I’ve heard countless folks utter this simple trut — “Nothing sounds like a Ferrari.” And nothing turns heads like one either. The Italian automaker’s latest creation comes in the form of the Ferrari 812 GTS, a convertible monster that looks to be based off the 812 Superfast.

From Maranello, the 812 GTS claims to be the most powerful drop top on the market. Power comes from a 6.5-liter V12 engine that’s churning out 789 Horsepower and 530 pound-feet of torque from a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission. The 812 GTS revs out to 8,900 RPM, catapults from 0 to 62 MPH in just under three seconds and can break past 124 MPH in 8.3 seconds. Top speed comes in at 211 MPH and you’ll be so busy soaking in the sun getting there. When you need coverage, the retractable hardtop roof goes down in just 14 seconds at speeds of up to 28 MPH. The forged multi-spoke wheels comes in diamond, liquid silver, and Grigio Scuro finish options.

This Gran Turismo comes nearly fifty years after the debut of the last Ferrari Spider, dropping a 12-cylinder engine up front and giving it style cues that resemble the Ferrari 365 GTS4.

Check out more of the Ferrari 812 GTS in the gallery above. Pricing for European customers of the Ferrari 812 GTS come in at 336,000 euros while production will start in the first half of 2020 and deliveries to begin in the summer of the same year.
