Land Rover builds James Bond-inspired Defender 90 Rally Car to celebrate 60 Years of 007
James Bond Stunt Driver Mark Higgins will drive a competition-ready Land Rover Defender 90 – inspired by six decades of James Bond films – for the 2022 Bowler Defender Challenge North Wales leg on March 26th.
The three-time British Rally Champion returns to the UK rally scene with a one-off black and gold Defender that features a commemorative 007 60th logo on its roof and sides as well as the names of the various James Bond movies on the hood and rear door.
In addition to a P300 Ingenium powertrain, the vehicle will showcase rally-prepared enhancements and safety modifications, including a fully integrated roll cage, 18-inch Bowler wheels with all-terrain tires, a bespoke performance suspension system, and additional cooling and racing harnesses.
Higgins was a natural choice for the stunt, being part of four James Bond films – Quantum of Solace, Skyfall, Spectre, and No Time to Die. He is supported by co-driver Claire Williams.
Higgins and Williams will compete on the North Wales Rally in Dolgellau on March 26th – as part of the 2022 Bowler Defender Challenge, regulated by the Motor Sports Association.
Land Rover launched a James Bond: No Time to Die special edition of the Defender V8 last year.
