McLaren 720S GT3X Is A Two-Seat Track Toy with 740 Horsepower

Introducing the McLaren 720S GT3X, a track-only iteration of the GT3-class race car. Carrying the same twin-turbo 4.0-liter V8 as the single-occupant GT3 race car, the 720S GT3X has been churned to 710 horsepower, leap of 197 over the GT3 variant. If that’s not enough, there’s a 30-horsepower overboost available at the push of a button. Mated to a six-speed sequential transmission and fitted with a redesigned roll cage to accommodate a second bucket seat and harnessing, the 720S GT3X still manages to weight just 2,668 pounds.

The McLaren 720S GT3X is not road legal and you can’t hit the race circuit with it either, but it will make for an insane track toy. McLaren Motorsports dealers are taking build orders now. Oh, and McLaren’s tossing in free technical support at your first track event if you pony up for this monster, with the price tag still not disclosed.
