Koenigsegg Unveils First Prototype Of New Jesko Absolut

Koenigsegg has released the first prototype of its new supercar, the Jesko Absolut. It is created to go as fast as possible, with hopes to break the 300-ph barrier. The model follows the recent reveal of the Jesko Attack dashing through the snow.

The Swedish automaker’s boss Christian von Koenigsegg, says they have “streamlined this car from not just an aerodynamic and design perspective, but also from a high-speed stability perspective. As a result, the Jesko Absolut has a phenomenally low drag of only 0.278 Cd.”

Getting into its aerodynamics, the Absolut has relatively low drag compared to other vehicles looking to do better in terms of speed and fuel efficiency. Looks-wise, the prototype is built in a Graphite Grey exterior with Tang Orange accents.

Inside Absolut is a 5.0-liter twin-turbo V8 that churns out 1,600-HP and 1,107 lb-ft of torque. This seems to entirely mimic the internals of the Attack version, but the weight is relatively lower with Absolut weighing 3,064 pounds compared to the 3,131 pounds of the latter.

While the Attack is expected to be delivered to customers this quarter, Koenigsegg is yet to announce a timeline for the Absolut customer units.
