BMW Adds All-Electric iX1 SUV to EV Line-up

BMW’s electric vehicle line-up welcomes the all-electric iX1 SUV, bringing with it an estimated range of 272 miles. It has a charging speed of 127 kW and can recharge to 80% in less than 30 minutes at public high-speed charging stations.

The first fully-electric iX1 model is powered by a dual-motor setup that churns out 313 HP and 364 lb-ft of torque.

At the front, we’re greeted by a square-shaped double kidney grille with slim Adaptive LED highlights and blue accents. The back has L-shaped rear lights with dark-smoked, transparent glass. It sits on 21-inch M Performance light-alloy, double-spoke wheels.

Step inside and you’re met with an intuitive cockpit that’s highlighted by the BMW Curved Display, BMW Live Cockpit Plus, and a switch-and-sliding control system for the central console. The vehicle can also suggest routes proactively thanks to BMW’s Maps Navigation System. In addition to the smart wireless charging tray, it supports smartphone integration through Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
