‘Watches: A Guide By HODINKEE’ Is Brand’s First-Ever Book

HODINKEE and book publisher Assouline partner for a beautiful, oversized coffee table book.

Since 2008, HODINKEE has amassed a tremendous following through its digital media footprint covering all things watches. It’s become the authority on horology both online and off. They’ve got a print magazine that’s now on its 5th issue but have never gone out and published a book. Until now. Watches: A Guide by HODINKEE comes in partnership with luxury book publisher Assouline, the same folks that have given us beautiful, oversized coffee table books across a rang of subjects including architecture, fashion, art, design, travel, and more. Every page is filled with detail you’d normally have to see these historic timepieces in person to experience. The visuals, the storytelling, and the overall execution are all as refined as you’d expect from HODINKEE and Assouline. Throughout its 261 pages are illustrations and photographs, with writing by the noted Editors at HODINKEE. A wide range of horological related topics are covered here, from watch complications to divers, to iconic timepieces such as the Paul Newman Daytona.

Watches: A Guide by HODINKEE deserves a place on every coffee table, regardless of how versed you already are in watches. There’s no doubt that at the very least, it’ll spark conversations with guests and teach everyone a thing or ten about watches you didn’t know already. You can see some of the spreads in the book in the gallery and buy the book now through HODINKEE Shop.
